Fried Plantains
Ingredients
- 2 ripe plantains
- 4 tbsp of vegetable oil, or enough to cover bottom of pot
Instructions
- Peel the plantains, and cut into 3 cylinders, then slice each cylinder lengthwise into about 4 pieces (about ⅛ inch thick).
- Heat the oil to medium heat.
- When hot, fry the plantains and turn over when brown.
- Place plantains on a plate with layers of paper towel to drain the excess oil.
