Banana Orange Smoothie

Smoothies are packed with nutrients and easy to make. If you tried a smoothie and didn’t like it, we suggest that you experiment with flavours and the texture that you enjoy.
Adding 2 or more parts fruit to 1 parts raw vegetable will make the smoothie taste like the fruits, which is the flavour many people tend to like the most.

Ingredients
  

  • Add the following ingredients in the order below, to a high-speed blender. Blend for about 30 – 60 seconds.
  • 1 large banana, chopped
  • 1 orange, or 3 small tangerines, or mandarins (peeled and seeds removed and cut into quarters).
  • 2 large lettuce leaves, chopped
  • ¼ cup shredded carrots
  • 1 tbsp oatmeal
  • 1 tsp ground flaxseeds or chia seeds
  • 1 tsp of peanut butter (optional)
  • ½ cup of cold water, plus ½ cup of ice cubes
  • Serve cold
