Coconut Fruit-Veg Smoothie
Smoothies are packed with nutrients and easy to make. If you tried a smoothie and didn’t like it, we suggest that you experiment with flavours and the texture that you enjoy. Adding 2 or more parts fruit to 1 parts vegetable will make the smoothie taste like the fruits, which is the flavour many people tend to like the most.
Ingredients
- Add the following ingredients in the order below, to a high-speed blender. Blend for about 30 – 60 seconds.
- ½ cup coconut jelly
- 1 -2 bananas, or 1 cup of mango, pineapple or your favorite fruit
- 1 cup raw spinach, or shredded cabbage, green/red leaf lettuce, kale (stem removed) or Swiss Chard (stem removed)
- 1 tbsp oatmeal
- 1 tsp ground flaxseeds or chia seeds
- 6 raw unsalted whole cashews (optional)
- ½ cup of cold water or cold coconut water, plus ½ cup of ice cubes
- Serve cold
