Soak cashews in 1 cup of water for 30 minutes (or overnight).
Wash the skin off of the dates, then add dates to a cup with 2 tbsp of water and soak for 15 – 30 minutes.
Drain cashews and add to a blender along with the dates (including its soaked water), salt and nutmeg. Taste and adjust ingredients if needed.
Peel the banana, break into pieces and add to a small bowl or a cup.
Add the chocolate syrup to the banana. Mash the banana and mix with the chocolate and cinnamon with a fork or small blender. Taste a adjust ingredients if needed.
To a glass, add a few tablespoons of the blended cashews. Then add a layer of the banana-chocolate, then repeat a 2nd time.
Store in the refrigerator. Serve cold or at room temperature.
Top with peanut crumbles or shredded coconut before serving.
