Peel and remove the banana skins, and slice bananas into 1-inch pieces.
Stick 1 toothpick into each piece, place in the freezer for 30 minutes.
Add oil and chocolate chips to a pot and heat on low heat until completely melted, then stir (you can also microwave to melt the mixture).
Remove the bananas from the freezer and dip each in the melted chocolate/coconut mixture and back on the trays.
Optional: immediately sprinkle a few crushed nuts cover the chocolate.
Serve immediately, or place trays in the freezer to allow the chocolate to firm up, then serve cold.
