Salsa
Ingredients
- 3 large ripe tomatoes (1 ½ cups diced)
- ¼ cup onion, chopped
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- ½ tsp salt or to taste
- 1 tbsp medium hot pepper, finely chopped (jalapeño or habanero pepper. For less heat remove all or some seeds)
- Pinch of black pepper, or to taste
- 1 tbsp cilantro leaves, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Dice the tomatoes.
- Dice the onions into a similar size as the tomato or smaller.
- Add all ingredients, except the cilantro leaves, into a food processor and pulse for few times to desired texture.
- Add cilantro leaves and mix the leaves into the salsa.
- Serve immediately, or let it sit in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to absorb all the flavors for a better taste.
Notes
Pairing: Add to tacos, wraps, over rice and bean dishes, over rice bowl and in salads.
